Class of 2029

After seeing George and Sue off this morning, E.W. and I headed down for Emma's kindergarten graduation. What a sweet ceremony it was, all of those precious, fresh children in their red, white and blue! I understand Ellie was not happy she couldn't attend, but such is life in the second grade.

Mack was mesmerized.

Sweet, sweet Emma.

Class of 2029! I can't even fathom.

Move It, Move It

Three brothers sharing the work load.
Sunday, the work crew (E.W., Joe, George, George Jr., & Sue) cleaned out Sa's attic. Monday's tasks included loading a U-Haul headed to Virginia and emptying the rest of the cabinets and closets. It seems to be going so quickly but I think that's because it's not my circus (and therefore I'm not having to make hard decisions. Also, there are three kids doing the clearing out as opposed to just one (although I did have some wonderful help!).

Mother's Day

After leaving the shower, it was on to mama's for a spend-the-night before Mother's Day. We had a wonderful visit and there's no one I'd rather have across the table from me on Mother's Day than her. Such an amazing mama she's always been.

Meanwhile, Sa's boys (along with Georgie and Sue) had celebrated with her. They were in town to start/continue/not-quite-finish the process of clearing her house. I missed out on the hot, dusty job of clearing the attic!

Shower the people you love with love...

(...if you're not familiar with that, here ya go.)

I've known this sweet bride-to-be since before she existed and am so grateful that it worked out that I was able to go to her shower, which, by the way, was so well-planned and on point with the fiesta theme. Bonus: Kate was there, too. The way she and Shannon hugged when she got there: priceless.

The four of us just don't get to be together much. Darn geography!

When you and your friend have daughters who love each other,
life is just a little sweeter.

Next stop: a little Mother's Day visit with my mama.
