Five Months!

Banks is five months old today and I realize that in my recent photos, he's either sleeping, moving, or covered in food! Still cute, though, even with peas on his face last weekend at the lake.

This little boy looks like his mama when he smiles, but he may have more in common with her than a smile...

Lazy Lake Days

We are home after some lake fun with the Berrymans. Nothing like a couple of lazy days to kick off the summer!

E.W. making the transition from work to play.

Banks is trying to figure out this crawling thing...

...but it's hard when your brother is steamrolling you.

Our captain performs an equipment check...

...and adjusts his shades.

These two are a pair!

The boat makes me soooo sleepy.

It makes E.W. pretty relaxed, too.

Boat smooches.

Yay! Peas for lunch!

Sweet family at the 'beach'.

Can you stand the cuteness?

Little fish.

Adult boat ride drive by.

Swimming will wear you out, as Bo and Kendall can tell you.

Tucker and Banks hit it off!

A little slice of how great it is to be an American.

Dance, Dance, Dance

Last Saturday was Emma's first dance recital. She was completely precious and seemed to know her dance (Somewhere Over the Rainbow) better than most. Getting the lighting for the photos was impossible (for me, anyway), but I'm documenting a few just the same. She's in the middle in each of these.

Ellie wasn't right under a light during her ballet, so the lighting is a tiny bit better in those (although not nearly as good as last year's).

Her group also performed a tap dance.

The girls were happy to get flowers from E.W. and Papa. Another first for Emma!

Precious girls!

Tough Life

Putter is SO glad we added the terrace.

In the Closet

My closet has been upside down since the trim and shutters were painted. I'd already painted the walls and scrubbed the shelving in E.W.'s but knew mine would be a bigger project (shelves take the place of a dresser so every article of clothing I own is in this closet and it also serves as the downstairs linen closet). It's taken me three days to clear it out, paint the walls, scrub (and repair) the shelving, and get everything back into place.

Those who know me well will understand how happy this order makes me!

Splash Pad Party

Emma's birthday was Monday (she's four!) and her party was yesterday. Having the party at the splash pad was genius; everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect.

Just a little sashay across the water. You can do that when you're four!

Lining up to go down one of the slides.

Traffic jam caused by Mack.

E.W. enjoyed the splash pad, too.

Running instead of sashaying this time.

Ellie got major big sister points for helping Mack on the slide.

Mr. Bossy Pants

Sweet big sister.

Up the slide and under the shower.

Birthday Princess

The only picture of all three. Sort of!

Please look at the worried and anxious expressions on those kids!
Will the candle light? Will she be able to blow it out? It's intense.

Whew, she did it (looks like Ellie's helping).

Mack on tiptoes, holding on to Ellie's swim suit, trying so hard to get cake.

The birthday girl's dad had fun, too.
