Playdate with Grannie Rae

Our oldest grandson and my mama seem to be on the same wavelength!

What fun to tailgate with all of our kids and all of their kids! A noon kickoff worked out well for Emma to go to her first game (although she had to have a power nap during the first half). While everyone else was at the game, I took the little boys home for lunch, naps, play time, snack, and watching the dawgs win on tv. It was the first time Bo and Mack had been together without any other kids around and they were precious. Bo is just learning about sharing and was happy (for the most part) to do so with his cousin. At one point the two of them had the most serious some language I didn't understand. Adorable.

Time together with this bunch is one of life's sweetest blessings for us; we are so grateful.

Morning with Mack

This little fella and I had a busy morning. We played inside and outside and then after passing out in my lap while we were reading, he power napped for about thirty minutes.

I couldn't resist dressing him in one of his 'vintage' (read: belonged to his daddy) shirts.

Here's Worth wearing the same shirt while feeding the fish at Mama and Daddy's house. :)

Six years ago this sweet girl transformed us from ordinary people into first-time grandparents. It's been an amazing adventure so far!

Years in the Making

Years of planning.
Today, the paint is dry and everything is back in its place.
Seems like we ought to be popping open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Maybe I'll just enjoy preparing our supper in a FINISHED kitchen instead!

Field Trip!

Emma's class visited Daylight Donuts today (they are studying D this week); it was my morning to keep Mack so we got to go with her. The kids got to see how donuts are made and even squished some (headed for the trash) dough. She chose red and black sprinkles for her donut, so obviously the DAWG home training is working out. Mack was half asleep and not impressed. Bless.

Is the end in sight?

Five weeks ago we were anticipating the last part of the kitchen reno. Finally (amen and hallelujah), trim paint is  happening!
