A Visit with Grannie Rae

The Berryman Five came to see mama today; the boys were a big hit at lunch (not many kids around here!).

Smooth Move

When mama moved into assisted living last May, her only option was a single room. It's a large room, but still. At that time we put her name on the waiting list for a suite and were told that it would likely be the best part of a year before one became available. She's managed beautifully since then and has been content, saying she has everything she needs. She settled in so well that she wasn't even sure she'd want to move.

A few weeks ago we learned that a suite was available. Well, she took one look at the larger space, separate living and sleeping areas, built-in storage, and better closets and made her decision in a hurry!

Today I helped her make the move and thanks to the staff that did the heavy lifting, it went smoothly!

Date Night

Last night E.W. and I had date night with Emma and Ellie. We had dinner at 41 and Main and then walked across the street to the Tift Theatre for a production of Charlotte's Web; the kids in it did a great job!

With the two sweetest girls before leaving for 'downtown'.

E.W. perusing the menu
while Emma got serious with the restaurant's worksheet.

Cracked me up; these two worked hard on these puzzles!
Also, I learned I'm really not that great at tic tac toe.

Waiting for the show to begin!

No photographic evidence of the rest of our evening: a quick bath, a frosty that we'd picked up on the way home, and playing dress-up. Don't be surprised but E.W. was a little more interested in the televised high school games than playing dress-up.

I've been around littles so much lately that it seemed weird how simple it was to get these girls to bed! Worth and Mack came to pick them up this morning (Ellie had a birthday party) and so the arts and crafts session was a little short but we did have the bonus of getting to see Mack and Worth.

Girls painting, Mack eating.

We're already looking forward to the next time!

Georgia - Auburn weekend

Grey working on tummy time. Almost 7 weeks old!

The big boys riding wild in the driveway.

Banks loves to hold Grey...for about ten seconds.

Banks sporting the firefighter accessories.
Looks like he's ready to be on a calendar.

Rachel was in town and we were so, so glad she made it to the tailgate.
She got to meet Grey, too.
(see him there, worn by Kate; note his little football hat)

First tailgate as a party of five for the Berrymans!

He was so good at the tailgate...

...and this one was, too...had so much fun!
Kate and I took the kids home and watched the game on TV; Dawgs had a great (AU was favored by 9) 13-7 win!

Nesting

Minor changes (involving no new nails in the wall!) have been in the works...

Chair eased away from corner, where the bookcase now lives.

Trying a chair from upstairs on for size with an eye toward reupholstering.
Camel saddle painted and recovered.

Chair that was next to tv, oval end table,
and floor lamp all moved to new spot.

Coleman chair moved to desk and the green organ pedals gone!
