This morning we went to The Bunny Hop, a fundraiser for Ellie's preschool. Grandma and Papa met us there (E.W. and Worth were chasing that little white ball, tournament style). After a delicious breakfast, there were games for the children. I love this picture, despite Ellie's cheesing for the camera, because she is holding Emma's hand and showing her how to wait in line for a game.
Emma had no idea what was going on, but she was willing to follow her sister's lead!
She really didn't understand face painting, but did end up with an Easter egg painted on her cheek. If it was good for Ellie, it was good for her!
The slide was, of course, the most popular. Grandma felt bad that Emma was too little, so she braved the slide with her. One time was enough. Sadly, I can't post THAT picture, as Grandma was adamant that her slide adventure remain undocumented (although you can see that and more right here)! Ellie didn't make that same request, so here's one of the wild woman in action.
Finally, it was time for the big egg hunt. Really, that's a misnomer, as no hunting was necessary. There were eggs aplenty scattered on the ground and the areas were roped off for the different age groups. The ones and twos didn't quite understand that they had to wait until the signal was given. There were a few meltdowns, one of which the Bowers family can claim. Poor Emma. She reached in and got that big purple egg and was made to put it back.
It didn't take her long to figure out the goal!
The threes and fours already knew what to do...
...as evidenced by Ellie's bounty.
The Bunny Hop was not the only event of the weekend. There were also several sessions of hair styling and a fashion show. Yes, Emma is sporting a pair of her daddy's socks. Not sure what look she was attempting.
Oh, and the guys came in a close second in their flight and are already plotting for next year...
