The cats are creeping around and hiding under the furniture, but the rest of us are delighted with this afternoon's thunderstorm.  We haven't had rain in months!

Side By Side at One

After yesterday's party, I thought it would be fun to match up pictures of Emma and Ellie with the chairs their Papa made for them as a first birthday gift.  I knew they looked like sisters but comparing them at age one shows just how strong the resemblance is!

Last year on the fourth of May, we joyously welcomed Emma.  Today, we celebrated her first birthday.  Love this little girl SO much.

So excited to find this on Craigslist...and right here in T town!  It reminds me of E.W.'s grandmother (Momee).  Any time there was a crowd for a meal, she'd sit on a stool like this instead of at the table...always at the ready to replenish the wonderful food she always served.  It's 'vintage' and needs a little love, but YAY....score!
