We Still Don't Get It

Why is it raining? We've been trying to figure it out for years and our tiny cat brains just don't get it.

April...whew!

Kate and Jay become engaged (!)...a weekend filled with new family, friends, and Easter...trip to see my folks and go to the Masters...Ellie time...visit from George and Sue...Bluestockings...party for a hundred in our yard...April has been FULL!

Tift Green Weekend

George and Sue made the trek down I-95 last Thursday and we tried hard to top the fun we had during last year's Tift Green weekend. There was golf, golf, and more golf for the guys. Sue and I spent our time visiting, reading, and getting in some serious relaxation on the patio. What a great weekend...we're SO GLAD they came!

For about five years, my mama has sewn for the Lydia Project. This past weekend, she shared the story of the Lydia Project with the girls. Yes, my mama is amazing.

Masters, Part II

Saturday was a great day! I got to spend the day with my folks and Ellie while the others were at the tournament. Daddy introduced Ellie to the German cowbell (loved it) and music of the Big Band era (not wild enough for her)! The weather was gorgeous...thankfully Ashley FINALLY got to see the Masters without freezing or drowning! Ellie and I made several walks down to the pond to admire flowers and look for ducks. There was also some bubble blowing involved.

Daddy had reserved the private dining room at the 'big house' for us Saturday night and the nine of us had a lovely evening together...the first time we've all been together since Jay's become an official part of the bunch.

Today also brought the added excitement of a new baby in the 'family'. We are so proud for Tyson, Beth, and Jake as they welcome Walker to the world.

Masters, Part I

Wednesday afternoon found us on the road to Augusta and we had a wonderful day at the tournament Thursday. Thankfully the predicted thunderstorm waited until the middle of the night! Friday, Emmett had a great day at the tournament with our friend, Jay Roberson..so glad it worked out. After he got back, the B'ham crew rolled in and we all headed to Rhinehart's for shrimp...Kate and Jay met us there on their way into town. We enjoyed the best fried shrimp around and yes, there was some talk about golf! Some of us, though, focused more on a certain precious little girl.
